11:38 AM:
O land of irony
Land where I used to be
And now return [to].
Land of unleaded skies
Land of a thousand lies
Good coffee, nice weather, and a Big Mac with fries
(OK they have that too.)I am back from Poland. Ow. I have determined that triple mochas, silly t-shirts, white socks, and big ol' pants that are not tight so as to show off my questionably-attractive rear end, these things kick the ass of asses.
Pretty damn expensive lesson to learn, though. Let's see. I have lost some friends, I have screwed the pooch not only on a single job but on an entire line of work, I'm sick, I'm sore all over, I'm completely broke, and I still was too much of a fucking weasel to say anything about this to the extremely relevant party. Oh and I have jury duty in a week - or two, two I hope, I'm not up to calendars just yet - but then I knew that.
On the plus side: Not Dead. I do still have a marvelous t-shirt collection, if you like that sort of thing. Powerbooks and OS X are very cool. If they would just not be so Jobbesian with their hardware, so that maybe a person could buy a DC adapter to use on an airplane for instance.
And yes, yes, Krakow is still extremely cool. Honestly, at times I wish I could just stay there, if only to avoid the traveling. I have now seen "About A Boy" threeeee times. I Get It, OK? Cholera.
Willfully blind self-indulgent nebbish or amusingly quirky old coot? And how bout that local sports team? Discuss among yourselves.

unreliable but it's all in good fun. Yep.
