More Notness

9:45 PM: Much procrastination, much work this weekend. Read The Cold Six Thousand, new James Ellroy, after re-reading American Tabloid. Brutal, depressing, his style is getting the best of him a little bit but still hell of a storyteller.
Yesterday, Mates of State again, at Bottom of the Hill. They're so cool. New CD coming out in a couple months too, yay. They were opening for two other bands that were not very good, but are probably way more popular. Which says what it always says.
Still with the leaving-the-house problems. More fun and angst from Buffy tonight. They are so taunting their critics. I mean, c'mon, they had an actual Shark tonight. I don't remember if Buffy ever jumped over it - maybe they thought that'd be overkill. And then from the bunnies to hopeless pain. No other show equals it.
Definitely makes me want to watch my brand new (gloat gloat) Season 3 DVDs now. Especially "Revelations" and "Amends", if I have those episode titles right. Oh, and there's a new Farscape, and now I'm two eps behind on 24, and so why should I leave the house anyway? I have baloney and mayo and tea, after all.
Willfully blind self-indulgent nebbish or amusingly quirky old coot? And how bout that local sports team? Discuss among yourselves.
