5:16 PM: Heh. In a very tame, unequal sense, anyway.
Which is about yes, I did go to the Dmitry Sklyarov fundraiser yesterday. And hey, here it is in the actual Yahoo News page! OK, it's a story from the ZDNet wire, not exactly Reuters or the Times. Didn't even get a story in the Comical for bug's sakes.
It's all quite evil. They want to throw this poor guy in jail for 25 years. For doing his job, writing a program for a company in Russia - a program that's perfectly legal there - that would let someone who had paid for an Adobe ebook make a copy of it. Oh yeah, now that's a threat to public safety. Lawrence Lessig summed it up best: "This is really fucked."
Tonight and tomorrow night is Thinking Fellers Union Local 282 and that is a good thing. Soup today. Peanut M&Ms for Snack!®, a decent one for a change. They're going to get rid of it soon anyway. Eh. I just realized that Monday is a holiday. I want tomorrow to be a holiday too.
2:26 AM: Ex-Girl fucking ROCKS!!! They're absolutely amazing. It's a caLAMity! Read all about them here. My favorite quote:
eX-Girl - "You will know us by the trail of dead."Thinking Fellers were great, too. Can't wait for the show tomorrow. People who don't go, it's their loss.
Willfully blind self-indulgent nebbish or amusingly quirky old coot? And how bout that local sports team? Discuss among yourselves.

All names are fake, most places are real, the
author is definitely
unreliable but it's all in good fun. Yep.
