8:55 PM: It's not just a metaphor, it's true. Whoof. Madras Curry, very spicy, very large.
Just read American Gods, book by Neil Gaiman. Good! Funny, kind of spooky, just plain interesting. Reminded me very much of Sandman-style storytelling. Why I had this idea that his novels would be some kind of cheap cash-in ploy, I don't know.
Otherwise, not much. A day off that was a day off. Very nice. Still have to figure out my schedule for the dang Film Festival! I see all those days and times and my aging brain just says, "Let's have a nice little lie-down instead, hmmm?"
Willfully blind self-indulgent nebbish or amusingly quirky old coot? And how bout that local sports team? Discuss among yourselves.

unreliable but it's all in good fun. Yep.
