A Bit Distracted

3:37 PM: For some reason I'm finding it kind of hard to concentrate on anything Today. But only really hard stuff, like, Where is my coffee? and, Are those my feet? Le sigh.
On the other hand, once again I'm still employed, unlike some people. Man. I liked the line in The Economist: "Stock crashes are like buses, it seems. You wait forever for one to show up, and then you get three at once."
Hey, Bob Mould. I remember this.
5:57 PM: McDonalds. Eh, it's OK sometimes. This morning some air must have gotten into the pipes in our building somehow. All I know is that around 7 AM, it started rattling REALLY LOUDLY. Scary. I got up and went into the bathroom to see what was going on, but nothing very visible. It sounded like it was going to explode out of the wall. Then it stopped. No clue.
I almost didn't even get up at all Today - I thought it was Saturday. Don't know what reminded me otherwise. Dang it. Apples in Stereo canceled the gig they were supposed to play in July, and now I read that Sinead O'Connor is not going to be on the Wattapalava tour after all. Except she might play a few "selected dates". Poop. Big big wall of clouds visible looming over the coast hills, headed down on our heads soon. Let's hear it for cold, foggy, and windy.
Might go see Shrek this weekend. More Tolkien. Bookcases? Naah.
Willfully blind self-indulgent nebbish or amusingly quirky old coot? And how bout that local sports team? Discuss among yourselves.
