5:55 PM: We now pause for this commercial message:
Spinner rules. I have missed radio so very, very much through these whining decades of the fin-de-scooter. Now, finally! Thanks to the magic of the Internet, it's back. Though I shudder to say the words, the "Modern Rock" area of Spinner has a number of great, great channels. Alt.Now - finally, a place to hear new music! Most scary of all, they have a channel named ModRockGrrls, exclusively devoted to what it sounds like: modern(ish - Blondie forward, but mostly current) weirdo rock bands with female singers. Think Garbage and not the Donnas, Bratmobile not Faith Hill. This is only exactly my favorite kind of band of all time. It might as well be called The Tater Obsession Channel. Yi.
The DJ for all of these, apparently, is Michele Flannery. Anybody that would pick a Pere Ubu album as their favorite album of all time is OK in my world.
Willfully blind self-indulgent nebbish or amusingly quirky old coot? And how bout that local sports team? Discuss among yourselves.

All names are fake, most places are real, the

unreliable but it's all in good fun. Yep.
