2:54 PM: Wait, it's nearly 3? That can't be right. I just got here. Uh oh, I see Snack!™ being served. Better scoot. (Some dork is riding one of those Razor-ish scooters around the office today - "*squeal* Oooh! Just like a real dot com!" Shoot me.)
5:32 PM: OK, here goes! I am entering this through a form, instead of using vi the way Gog intended, because ... wait, I know I had a reason around here somewhere. Oh! Yes, because I want to get back to more frequent updates, like the earlier, funnier ones. Also cause it's easier and the code goes whrrrrrrrrrr in slow motion.
5:33 PM: It works!!!
6:42 PM: Slump. I woke up today at 9 AM for no good reason, like there could be a good reason, and realized that this time I wasn't going to go back to sleep. So I got up, made tea and overcooked eggs, and I've been awake ever since.
Until right about thunk8:01 PM: New CDs!!! Woo hoo! I'm still falling asleep, but still, woo hoo!! Let's see here:
- Wasp Star aka Apple Venus, Pt. 2 by XTC Big fat pop goodness. I've heard it once and I love it already. Nothing as bitter as "Dictionary" from Apple Venus, Pt. 1; that there's a song with a chorus line like "I want to worship at the church of women" shows you the difference well enough. Two excellent new CDs officially lift them out of the 80s bin forever, I think.
- Kid Loco! "Hey, I know him, he plays Worm Nerd!", you might say. I don't think it's the same guy, because this Kid Loco is some French trip-hop DJ that I heard by accident here and liked. One never knows. Anyways, so two things I have now, DJ Kicks, which I guess is actually a series of DJ compilations, so this is his one, and A Grand Love Story, which I haven't heard yet.
- New Land of the Loops!! More girly songs over sparky Casio beats and weird sound, well, loops! P uttering About A Small Land - this and the Kid Loco, I was able to preview on WiredPlanet, and see? I bought it. Told you that's how it worked.
whoops, went wandering there for a while... this All Music Guide site is kinda cool, but there's mistakes in it...- Anyway. Also, I have Luxury by F antastic Plastic Machine. I remembered nothing about this CD when I saw it, but now I read that it's Japanese kitsch-pop - "shibuya-kei", apparently the official name. I'm for that.
9:15 PM: Handy Link of the Moment: Zeropaid.com, "The file sharing portal ™". Gotta love that trademark symbol.
It is meant ironically, right?
9:22 PM: What a dork! Here I was thinking I would be going to see Kristin Hersh on Tuesday, and it's not until September 1st. Space and time are not my friends. Farkle.
9:23 PM:
Oh my Bob! Sissy Bar is coming to town! Next Saturday! Do they write or call? See, if I had a real work ethic, I would never have known.
Willfully blind self-indulgent nebbish or amusingly quirky old coot? And how bout that local sports team? Discuss among yourselves.

unreliable but it's all in good fun. Yep.
