SATAN DRIVES TO WORK

  Leftover Starbursts

2 June 2000

9:57 PM: Ooops. I guess I forgot yesterday.

Nothing particularly happened, of course. I think I found a place that might be able to fix the old Betamax VCR I dug out of a box in the hallway that hadn't been opened since I moved in however many years ago. But that might have been the day before.

Nothing much happened today either. I had a burrito. I did some work. I got word from my DSL company that Pac Bell and Covad will be coming over on Monday, which means it's been down for over a week now. This is the "reliable" company around here, too. Oy.

It's young Penny's birthday today. She's reached the terribly advanced age of 24. But she bears the burden of her years fairly well, considering. So we'll be drinking at the bar tonight to celebrate ... wait, we do that every night, don't we? Hmm. Oh! And there will be cake. Tomorrow, some kind of U-Cook-It Korean barbecue place. I don't know, I mean, there's a reason people go to chef school.

Much much much work to do this weekend, too. Hope I figure out how this is all supposed to happen at the same time.

Willfully blind self-indulgent nebbish or amusingly quirky old coot? And how bout that local sports team? Discuss among yourselves.

All names are fake, most places are real, the author is definitely unreliable but it's all in good fun. Yep.
