SATAN DRIVES TO WORK

  Too Slow

24 May 2000

10:15 PM: Oh, CDs CDs, lovely pile of new CDs. Texas, The Hush; Sleater-Kinney, Sleater-Kinney and call the doctor; Macy Gray, On How Life Is; Stereolab, The First of the Microbe Hunters; Scritti Politti, Anomie & Bonhomie; and deathray, deathray. Pant pant.

And the best part? None of them suck. What are the odds of that? Oh, I have to go listen to S-K again.

OK, did anything happen in my actual life today? Not really. Poor young Penny had her final today, but I think she did pretty well on it, and in any case it's all over now which is a good thing. I got in late, some stuff had broken earlier but other people fixed it so I didn't have to. That was a good thing too.

Now then, important things: Buffy was just purely amazing last night. Show me anything else this interesting on TV, I'll watch it. Well, I'll try to. I'll certainly think about it.

Argh. Our network, or this PC, or something is in molasses mode again. It's taking about 30 seconds for each of these words to appear after I type it. Bye bye.

Willfully blind self-indulgent nebbish or amusingly quirky old coot? And how bout that local sports team? Discuss among yourselves.

All names are fake, most places are real, the author is definitely unreliable but it's all in good fun. Yep.
