SATAN DRIVES TO WORK

  Sour Raisins

21 December 1999

9:08 PM: Blah blah blah. Apple fritters are deadly. Goldfish are boring. Plain M&Ms are boring. Coffee is boring and deadly. Kind of a general theme developing here.

Although the news round here is a bit dispiriting, it doesn't seem like it should be making all that much of a difference. I think it's Holiday Ick. New CDs (thank you tommie!) will be showing up in a day or two. That'll be a boost. Oh, damn, plus I have to get something for my Secret Santa person at the bar. Maybe that big Teletubbie doll I saw the other day. That's scary enough.

It's been kind of enjoyable reading about the Democratic debates, Bradley all but giving Gore a detention slip. But only kind of. Because, oh who are we kidding, Gore will win. And Bush will win. And then Bush will win again. Or Gore will. I'm not saying that they're the same, only that it's just a matter of being differently afraid. None of which will make any difference compared to the collapse of the economy and the coming Giant Storms that will Kill Us All. Which probably won't ever show up, until I'm like 75 and can't walk. Next month sometime.

As Willow would say, "Grumble."

9:41: Has this been here all along and nobody told me about it? Fine, fine. You be like that, then. It's still nice to know that there's a place to go for a review of the latest Buffy episode, even if they are all wrong about Anya.

Willfully blind self-indulgent nebbish or amusingly quirky old coot? And how bout that local sports team? Discuss among yourselves.

All names are fake, most places are real, the author is definitely unreliable but it's all in good fun. Yep.
