9:45 PM: What I Know Now:
Feh.
- the current Debian distribution has a bug specifically preventing it from booting with my SCSI adapter card
- something has happened either to the CD-ROM drive or the CD itself that has made the OpenLinux distribution go from starting-then-hanging to nothing, computer doesn't even see it
- the only thing that will work on this particular machine is - ta da! - Red Hat; so much for freedom of choice
I got to work hella early today for no reason and I'm still here. Fog was so heavy this morning it was near rain. Still not cold though, which is handy. My Y2K posters are here, but now I'm about to move to a desk with no walls. A creative solution is called for, but it's not picking up the phone.
So Mary goes to see one movie this whole year, and what is it? Austin Powers of course. Which she loved. Humans - who made them? Why?
Willfully blind self-indulgent nebbish or amusingly quirky old coot? And how bout that local sports team? Discuss among yourselves.

All names are fake, most places are real, the
author is definitely
unreliable but it's all in good fun. Yep.
