SATAN DRIVES TO WORK

  An Unexpected Turn

5 April 1999

8:33 PM: Oh hello there. Yes yes. I'm at work now, isn't that fun? Yes. So late too. Clock changes. There doesn't seem to be much bombing of the actual bastards in the field and their tanks, does there? Just big old defenseless buildings. One is beginning to develop a sinking feeling. One remembers that this is being run by the same people who brought you the European Commission and federally-encouraged school uniforms. One is running out of coffee and has no chocolate. One is distracting oneself.

I just .... whee. I got email, you see. I didn't think I would but I did. Now brain is in spin cycle. Intestines aflutter. Worst of all, delusion gland is pumping like a fibrillating hummingbird. Oh, I'm upside down, I'm translucid, why hello Mary, if I'd known you might be around I wouldn't have become a lunatic, care for a cracker?

Oh damn me this is going to be difficult.

9:03: God help me, but I think I really like "Under Pressure" (the Queen/Bowie duet). On the heels of the Alanis CD... what is happening to me?

Willfully blind self-indulgent nebbish or amusingly quirky old coot? And how bout that local sports team? Discuss among yourselves.

All names are fake, most places are real, the author is definitely unreliable but it's all in good fun. Yep.
