I know it's Halloween and all, and I can hear all the people outside yelling "PAAARTY!!!! WHOOO!" and that kind of festive thing.
But what seemed more relevant Today was that I'd gotten started on a good fat book - Carrion Comfort by Dan Simmons, which I must have read once but so long ago that I remember nothing of it, and that's always a pleasant thing to discover on one's bookshelves. And the couch was awfully comfortable, and I had tea, and wasn't it nice to just relax after the non-stop last few days? Not to mention the major Whee-I'm-Free toot that I went on after finally leaving work last night. Ow. You know, I could just order some Chinese food...
So that's what I did. It's excellent, too. So have a Swingin Sahmain, all, I'm taking the night off.
Willfully blind self-indulgent nebbish or amusingly quirky old coot? And how bout that local sports team? Discuss among yourselves.

All names are fake, most places are real, the
author is definitely
unreliable but it's all in good fun. Yep.
