I am hopelessly retro. My new favorite CD is Johnny Cash Live at Folsom Prison.

When I was a kid, back around the time that album was first released, we used to use the word "tough" (or perhaps "tuff") as a synonym for "cool." JC is definitely tough in both senses on this album. Sincere yet darkly humorous, bitter, and defiant. My favorite discovery on this album: "25 Minutes to Go," a song from the perspective of a man about to be hanged.
