d.- here... and wishing you an already New Year!! Whee!
Amerika, soon to be the newest Third World country, is yet six hours away from the big party. For myself I was content to get a new wall calender of The Greek Isles (by Graphique de France publications). I love how turqoise blue the water is, contrasted with white buildings and other-shade-of-blue skies. sigh... Santorini looks quite beautiful. I think the photos will carry me throughout the year. You?

I was hoping you'd get my time-travelling well wishes, and I'm glad you did. I've always been a fan of the contrast you mention - I've only been to one Greek island (it was Crete, not Santorini), and it is maybe even more striking while one is there. Its the thin-ness of the streets, too, that allow beams of bold blue through into them I have no calendar for the new year, I'd hate to start imposing rules onto it just yet. I'll take it as it comes, hopefully starting with a j-o-b.Its New Year for you now, so Happy 2oo5, hope it brings as good a year as it can be, and gives you many happy memories to take forward into the next ones.

I was reading about Santorini the other day, too. It... no, it'll have to wait. I'm being whisked out by my Grandparents to buy a printer cartridge for them. I'll finish this story later. Its not that good anyway. Just want Foster to lose his top spot.
