I used to watch the Moomins back when the roads were paved with grit, and the Posh Noodle was a mere glint in the Golden Wonder executive's eye. I had a strange relationship with the Moomins. Being of European origin (anyone help me be a bit more specific?) it is both otherworldly, mesmerising, and absolutely bowel-looseningly terrifying to a six year old child. Especially that thing with the big eyes and red dress.

My own personal belief system holds that the evil looking one was called little 'something or other'. Not little Mo, for she is the one made of paper mache which has dripped a little. Moomins came around twice. I knew it! Its the way they de juice everything nowadays to make it all la la la bleedin' la. Its the first lot of moomin action, the original that scared the shite out of me. The new one is not scarey. I fear change on such a small and insignificant scale. Its the changes like that you don't notice and when you turn round everyone is 15 feet tall, bright purple and all called Septimus.
