Any suggestions who I should look to emulate, either sensible or otherwise? Except that chap who won American Idol.

I recently had a haircut. The stylist asked, "what the fuck do you want to look like after I trim the hair from your scalp at odd angles" and I replied, "oh, I suppose someone with a bit of contempt for mainstream society" and she said "like Eddie Izzard with the hair quality of George Carlin" and I said "no, more like Hugh Heffner with a touch of Malcom McDowell" and she said "for an extra $20 I can do just that" and I said "alright then".

However, maybe the best thing is to take your advice and shave my head. I have never done that. I'm imagining the first time I lay to sleep and my scalp's touching the pillow without insulating material. Interesting! When she finished, she said "Dad, you look 10 years younger!" To which I replied "Shave the rest of it off!" You'd be surprised at how many people will want to feel your clean shaved scalp. I tell 'em it's good luck to rub it! Women have even gotten into the act. I think you started this whole thing 10 yrs ago tommie.

	I never really like my haircuts. But then it's because I have stupid hair, not to mention less and less of it each - year? day? minute? On the other hand, I like getting my hair cut. Oh yes, force me to let a beautiful woman wash my head and cut my hair. Oh, the torture. (Yes, I am skeevy like that, it's shameful, isn't it?)

	My hair looks top drawer at the moment. Really good.
