This is true. I remember being prepositioned by the same whale, on the last night, but I took the high road. I'd already had a bit of a holiday nightmare, but thankfully Skiddy (who's currently on his 11th pint in Lloyds, apparently) kindly took her from my hands.

The only other horror story from this particular holiday is that it only lasted a week.
