Just at a guess, if I couldn't make it up from Norwich, and it'd be a pan-Atlantic flight for you (wouldn't it?) it was deemed that to invite you would just be asking too much. Nothing about age I'd warrant - only the man himself can answer. Not the man but Ringo.
