I'm well ware of kid's enjoyment of a long soak with a good book. Myself, i like to be in and out as quick as poss! Wash the hair, wash the dangly bits and be on my way. One minute is a reasonable time.

Being "Wash", i find it important to come out as clean as a whistle, which hasnt just been blown by a hairy ref! Not literay! No wait, literally! Hang on... well i'm not talking prison lingo if that helps you get the gist! Saying that, I am enjoying the benefits of shorter hair, enabling me to do the job a lot quicker. That said, here in france i have a shower head, but no shower curtain, so i tend to take the bath to save the bathroom being flooded, as being on the 2nd floor, i could get compaints from consequently showered neaighbourinos. Baths do rock, and as the water flows from the tap a lot quicker in this bathroom than my bath back home, i can fill the tub in a few minutes, normally while i make myself a cup of tea. I then drink the tea in the bath: in, drink, out in an average of 12 minutes, and ready to face the world! Amen! Carry my towel in with me, and a good book (of late The Good Book) generally heavy enough that I read for about half an hour. Then throw it across the room, lie back, stroke the bubbles about my calves (I enjoy that effect. I don't know. I just do) and then generally fall asleep. If I aren't awoken by chance, I always wake up thinking I have to do something that I don't and leave footprints on the way into my room, slip on them later and resolve to shower next time. If I am awoken by chance, I get up as the water drains out of the bath, wash my hair until it hurts and then leave the bathroom blind, realising a few minutes later that I left the toilet unflushed. Then I run back in in my pants, but I've always flushed it and I was wrong. Every time. Have I shared too much? If not, your birthday present will be wingin its way to you as soon as i can get to the "Books for Losers" store in Limoges. Should be sometime next week.
