This mate of mine in France, his dad used to play football (soccer) for a team in League 2 - the second division in national professional football! I was well impressed on hearing this!!! However, his career ended when he started peeing blood (ahh, there's the link, i hear ya say). A great shame. Anyway, i saw him at a game a couple of weeks ago, and he pretty much told me that the main reason for this sad end to his career, was... Canada! Well, at least that's what I understood.
