parent: lost prophet

Kid by Geez. I just left it... on 2002-11-28 01:30:17

...when I bought coffee the other day. I put it next to me and I guess I didn't pick it up again. Luckily, even if everything of value is stolen I still have a 25 centimes coin from 1925, and a token to celebrate Huddersfield's FA Cup victory in 1920 in there. No wallet guy, either. Of course, the university doesn't open anything until 10am, so I can't get it back for another 15 minutes yet.

And no, I look very smart at the moment. My mother is/will be proud. Not so proud if I get screwed for hundreds of pounds, but proud.

So there you go. I look forward to it too. When are you due back?

No. Nobody's found it. Shame. Nobody's used my bank card either. I live in hope that someone might have my campus card...maybe...new bank card on the way

Inconvenient? Yes. But I should be able to change my internet supplier, which is all good.

Things like the token, though? How can I replace them? I've got a Nazi 2 Francs, from 1943, I can use that...I need an ESSO World Cup Token or something. E-bay? Oh, E-bay?

I even lost that piece of paper we filled in on the train to Marseille....oh crappidy crap crap.

Again though, Everything's Not Lost. I need a new wallet though.

I get the feeling its somewhere I might find it...or it might be returned. I don't know. It doesn't so much matter now.
Wash! by Of course it matters. on 2002-11-28 08:03:22  |  Reply to this

It really does. You and me have already had to face losing Jeff this year, I dont know about you, but I cant face losing Waldo too! Things are changing, uncontrollably, and I dont like it! I need to sit down in a local pub, like old times, and throw Stella over Ringo* while i sup my cheaper alternative lager as Ringo* insults me: just sitting, getting sympathy from Skiddy, being amusingly amused (and bemused) by Kid, and being nipple twisted by GAOU.

Bird, Jeff, Waldo, whatever next. It frightens me.

Yours,

Of course it matters.

There's nowhere in Huddersfield to get leather that supple anymore. I'm going to ask around for a Norwich leather-dealer. (NB - Its Waldo II that's missing. Not Waldo)

There he is! Leather you can find, dude. But we're going to have to go to Marseille again for a new piece of paper we wrote on the way to Marseille! You heard the enfant du vieux port, he said A BIENTOT!

Here, got many a new thing going on: Tuesdays play football, Wednesdays learn Spanish, Fridays play football, and, when i get a liscence to play in the French league, i'll be playing on Sundays. Shibby!

'many a new thing going on'. You mean you do the same thing a lot, then? Nice work. For whom will you be playing?

No, I mean i now have 2 days playin fooose, and one learning Spanish. Ill be playing for Gueret - my town. Not first team though, or even reserves, as, from what I can gather, theyre pretty good - like in the 5th division - the 1st being represented by teams such as Marseille, PSG and Bordeaux. So yeah! Many a new thing - ok, 3 things: training, playing, and learning spanish! Voila! Hark at son of a gun! (Ive been saying that all day thanks to you. I even did a search for the exact phrase on yahoo.fr, but PDC didnt show! What a sad bastard I am!) Oh, and Just seen About a Boy tonight. Saw it in English with my chiquita, and it was still as good in french. Thats all, Wash!

We just had the best Later.. I can remember. We had Badly Drawn Boy, Femi Kuti, Sugababes, Moby...and...and...Dave Brubeck - whose Time Out album I bought as the last transaction before I lost my wallet.

Still, nice work on the foos. You're no Muriel's Wedding, mind.
