This is my point. Everything I ever write either here or elsewhere is blown dramatically out of context, and people end up taking things the wrong way, which upsets me, because I never mean to offend anybody. Unless I do, but then I really go for them, taking no prisoners, as they say.

But I accept the branch of friendship you hold up. And thank you.

Obviously, I enthuse, its the simplicity in his lyrics that I like - not a pop simplicity, but an idiosyncratic, quirky simplicity. Things like 'its misty within reason' you can't get anywhere else. And he can play a few instruments too. And we has rain so heavy it hurt today. So we'll have a good summer too. I hope.
