NOW do you understand why I liked working at the library (in Tech. Services) mending and repairing older texts? P.S. you don't need "medical equipment" to do this work -- they have actual library tools for this!

You say this 'NOW' as if I wouldn't understand why somebody enjoys the reconstruction of ancient texts! Sheesh! Imagine the holding of history in your very hands! The closest the normal person can get to doing that is by buying the most enpesive antique &/or work of art they can find, and treasuring it. But a text, not only do you have the actual chemical substances; the ink, the paper, the dust and all that comes with it, but you also get the language and face. Words, pictures, sometimes the two together. Now that's the dream. Some Scotland Yard dossiers from 1800s.
