Let's buy a city by Amelia on 2001-11-07 03:01:23
Aaaaauuuuggghhhh!!! Mike Bloomberg has successfully purchased the mayoralty of New York. And my friend Sam actually voted for him. I am extra super duper disgusted.

What in the name of Jesus? Screw you BBC! The main news for us was that Sting was on Concorde! Crap! Surely this is worth something? NB - If we are gonna club together in order to buy a city, I vote for a large one that no-one really likes, then we get good value for money. Toronto? Marseille? Stoke-on-Trent? No. I've got it. Nairobi.(In smaller news, I can't access my phone bill, and thus can't pay it. Crap!) |

I like Stoke-on-Trent. It's got a silly name and it's more convienent to shopping than Nairobi. Plus - not in North America. That's bound to be an advantage. |

Oh right - wtf??? Why how Bloomberg? That's so weird. Is Mark Green really that much of an asshole that he lost it? |

Today's news reports that Bloomberg spent more than $80 per vote -- nearly four times as much as his opponent in a close race. Where is *actual* campaign finance reform when you need it? |
