Today my (Spanish) bird found out that she can NOT return to study at my university this year, after they made her do so much shit to apply for it - obviously giving the impression that her chances were good. We knew today would be the day that we found out... and it wasnt good! Sometimes life can just turn round and kick you in the bollocks, y'know? In... the... bollocks! Shes coming to stay with me for 2 weeks a week on sunday, but y'know, its 2 weeks, not 8 months! And to make things worse, I now, in 10 minutes start the first of 5 consecutive 1 hour long seminars, 2 of which i have no idea what they are talking about, the other where i have to do a presentation i havent even prepared, and the other is italian, with a girl who has the shittest hair-do in all of Kent! Dont start with me today, guys!

Of course you would have given him a 9, and one would only have to review the last several months of "Today" to understand why! I do suppose I should have been more sensitive, like most other guys...

And then ive just found out my best mate down here is moving to another house, much further away to mine now. Its a lot mroe convenient for him, but he was right near the kebab shop before, and it was easier for walking back at night, and walking up in the mornings. no more pissed up walks down Eliot Footpath. And now i go to the worst 2 hours of my week, toa course called - Paris: Myth or Reality. Its bollocks! Utter bollocks! Rank me!

That just about sums up the course, Tetra! Its so bad! ANyway, as this subject seems as though it should be renamed to: Wash's Unlucky Life, Ill fill you in on the remaining details of yesterday: So I thought after all that had gone on, i deserved to get pissed, so me and two mates did so in my room, and then went up Eliot footpath and over to the student village. However, en route, in a car park, we thought it would be a good idea to walk over some cars. We did so, setting one alarm off, so we ran (like fools) and were soon surrounded by 5 policemen and a police car. Heavy, huh? If damage to the car is reported we will be fined (Job: Needed). We have been individually called for a meeting with the University master. Happy now, Tommie! I think this deserves more than a 6.5!!!

Let's see... (1) I have not even got an international romance to whine about. (2) Last month I got a promotion with no raise, so now I get to supervise three times as many people without getting any more money. (3) This week I found out there is a hiring freeze, so they are not going to replace my old position, so now I get to do TWO jobs for the same salary. (4) At the quarterly meeting, they announced that we did not make our numbers for the third quarter, so they are counting primarily on the products from my now severely understaffed group to make it up before the end of the year. (5) About a half hour after this meeting, my body decided it couldn't take this anymore and I had to go throw up in the bathroom. About 4:00, I threw up in the bathroom again, just because apparently I did not get the message the first time. (6) So I am still supposed to do all of this stuff to make up the shortfall in three months full of holidays, but I already lost almost a whole day being sick. That is all.

Thats the spirit, Amelia! At least two of us are having a rough time. To add to MY moans and groans, i drank a killer cocktail yesterday, and threw up severely outside a friends house, and then again in my friends bin, all my clothes now are stained with a red wine based vomit, and i have to walk home from my mates house to change clothes, except I have no clean clothes, so im going to have to do the washing, which i HATE, but i want to eat first, except i have no food, so i will have to buy food, except i have no money....and so on. On the bright side, my girlfriend is coming next sunday, and i havent YET been thrown out of university! Oh, and England have qualified for the World Cup - excellent :-)

A stern talking to, a £20 fine, and a letter of appology to the car owners and to security for wasting their time. Had there been any damage on either car, we would have been down to the police, and would have been made to pay for any damage, and faced a possible criminal record. Gotta go now, a class is overruling my public PC room! Bitches! More later, Wash!

No ring, eh? Oh, and Microsoft Word corrected my error before you - whilst writing a letter of apology to the car owners and security officers. Sorry for the missed calls dude. I saw you ringing on one of them, and in the gym for the other. It was impossible to answer as i was in a seminar. However, it did lighten my day when i saw: HORSE-A-BIX flash on my screen. Gotta wash my underwear from yesterday and this morning now. Lovely!

Unlucky fella, me and three other guys (two whome you know), got caught by the bacon tipping a car on to its roof. They took all our details, but after a minimum of two weeks of shitting it, nothing happened. The fear the morning after the 'incident' was puishment enough.
Re: Re: Re: Moans and groans by Wash! on 2001-10-10 06:13:12  |  Reply to this
Why ARE cars such attractive targets after a few bevvies. Its not the first time of incidents aimed at vehicles in a drunken state. I remember me and a mate simultaneausly pissing on a car (one at the front, one at the back), and then entering it and filling it with advertisements for a nightclub! But how you got away without even a £20 fine for tipping it on its roof i will never know. So enlighten us, who were the other two culprits we know. At least give us a clue!

I shall never know, too much ppaper work for some lazy (mind block on spelling lazie, laisy, lazy?? Dunno) ass copper. The two other culprits were... a Mr.Breed of wild dog, and a Mr.Sounds like onion. Lets see what you can make from them clues.

And another thing! The mice are back in my apartment stronger than ever. I am afraid to pull out the bookcase where they have been living. I bought two large boxes of poison yesterday. The question is, can I poison them faster than they can breed? Last year, the answer was no. This year, I shall become the Lucrezia Borgia of the rodent world. Otherwise, I shall come home from my trip last month and find them sleeping in my bed.

Aaah, the young ones, they have not learned the sophistication of Time Travel. But I have sworn to use my powers only for good. For now, the mice are keeping their activities to the front room. After I spend a week in LA, we shall see if they have breached the hallway. But if it makes you feel better, you can believe that I am making it up.

...well, not nice? Can't you get mouse traps out? Or Mouse poison down? Or are they resilient little blighters? I'm a bit worried now. We have a spider problem, but they're easily removed with water and a pan, and they live on too, once disposed of but mice; that's like another level.

Just a little note here about my WormNerd reference to Warfarin. It was discovered a century or more ago as the ingredient which caused the death of cattle that ate soured hay. Used in DeCon® and other rodent poisons, it causes fatal hemorrhage. Interestingly, it is the active ingredient in Coumadin®, one of the most widely used anticoagulant therapy medications. Tomorrow's topic: gardening.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Moans and groans by Amelia on 2001-11-01 09:49:05  |  Reply to this
DeCon® is indeed my mouse poison of choice. I just love the ironic packaging that makes it look like a tasty wedge of cheese. I also love how it is the brand that they sell in the hardware store on my block. Interesting about the hemorrhage. I sometimes notice a little blood around the mouths of the dead ones. Yes, in the past year I have dispatched dozens of rodents. No, they don't seem to be getting the message. The mouse intelligence agency just isn't passing it on to the others that Apartment 5-A is full of little blue death pellets. Maybe I should drop some leaflets in the lobby to educate the other mice.

I dont mind the creatures, but i was trying to get to sleep, and it wasnt easy catching it when they can walk on the ceiling, and runb at about 100mph. They are wankers, i saw supporters of them when i went to Bilbao in the summer. They also tried to bomb down the tallest building in Madrid a few years ago. Bird really upset about it. Understandably. An old friends father, the doctor at our local surgry died in a car crash about this time last year. It shocked me, and sadenned me and the community, but imagine how even more horrifying it must be when the guy was killed by known terrorists of the area. SALAUDS! SALAUDS! SALAUDS!!! R.I.P

Being as I live in Norwich, which is easily the most backward of England's cities, I was much surprised to on a village sign-post (Think maybe 50 people live in village) on one side GEORGE W BUSH 2½ and the other OSAMA B L 2½. I laughed much. Anyway, to my actual point. A parking meter down by my old house says 'FREEDOM FOR BASQUE COUNTRY!' and I was very surprised, moreso when I read your comment a few days ago, and couldn't quite be bothered to comment on it.       69 replies. Just reminged me, when me and my bird and Tobby went to Bath last year, we had to wake up very early to get the bus. Of course we slept on the bus, but somehow, me and bird ended up sleeping in a humourous 69 position, which Tobby though would make a good photo. I received it today on email, as did ALL the friends from last year. Kind of embarassing, but kinda cool! Its a good picture!
