Meijer Department Store 1-hour photo-boy madness & other work-related garbage. by Brock on 1999-08-06 08:29:21
Work was unbelievably busy today. If you take advantage of in-store 1-hour photo development places, be easy on these people. It's been my expieriance in 4 or so days of work, that co-workers are indeed on that critical line between simply being disgruntal, and bieng postal. Nevermind that there's an actual black dome spying on our every move. It doesn't matter. When photos get behind, people get mad, and when people get mad, bad things happen. :) tell me about your uncaring, horrible workplaces.
(I LIKE MY JOB. IT IS AN EXCELENT PLACE TO SHOP. -for the record-)

So, Brock, do you subscribe to the theory "the customer is always right"?

the customer is not always right! and it's been my expieriance that you can tell who you're going to have trouble with right off. We try to accomidate them, but they are NOT always right.
there was a lady that came in today... here's the jist of it, but not the actual senario.
24 hour photo developing. dropped of at 11:59 PM. she tries to pick it up at 12:02 AM the next day.
'BUT IT SAYS NEXT DAY OR FREE!!! I WANT TO TALK TO THE MANAGER!'
blah blah blah. work is for idiots that don't win the lotto.
and only idiots win the lotto... which increaces my chances tremendously.

GRRR!!! I went into work at 10:30 today and was out at 11.
the big 'GRRR!!!' there is because i was supposed to have cashier training tonight so i can serve the coustomers rather than have to explain to them that i'm not allowed to touch the register and then have them piss and spit all over me. WELL! my manager didn't allow for the training in my schedual... i had cahier training from 4 to 7 rather then 4 to 9, so i missed out on 2 hours of it, and now they're jerking my schedual all around for tomorrow. BASTARDS. ABSOLUTE BASTARDS they are! anyway... if i need to elaborate, just say so.
