No, Pinfold (Penfold? Whichever....) was the behind the scenes guy. He was in Dangermouse too, not Mighty Mouse anyway, Pinfold was to Dangermouse as Alfred was to Batman. And Batman would see to the country in no time, and then he would be free, to go and be on Oprah last week.

I actually think Austin 'Danger' Powers would be much more effective at solving the problem. His conquest would be inhibitted by the fact that he would not be able to use the Shaguar as a means of transport ( only Mr.Prescott is allowed to used such automobiles ), but i am in no boubt he would be victorious.

Well duh on Batman. I never noticed a nuclear reactor on the Batmobile. He is just as dependent on fossil fuels as the rest of you pathetic whiners. Superman has his own power source, but Batman is really just a man with a lot of gadgets. He needs power more than anyone.
