Don't worry, in another 20 years your own youth will look wonderfully ridiculous. Then, most uncomfortably, it will become the setting for nostalgic TV shows. Yet you will still harbor secret fondness for things like WormNerd (intercaps and all), SUVs, musical cell phones, and garish sneakers.
In spite of the poodle perm, pointy shoes, and sparkling aerobic-wear, I had some great times in the '80s, and that is the stuff I will continue to remember.
